Joyce Bailey has attended church most of her life; however, her personal relationship with Jesus Christ did not begin until October 20, 1991. Although she was singing with some of the best choirs and enjoying all the other wonderful “things” of the church, she found herself with an unshakable after-church void. While residing in Richmond, Virginia, she began praying to the Lord, asking Him to fill the void in her life. She recalls asking the Lord, "Is there anything more to this thing called church?" On October 20, 1991, He answered her prayer. The Lord sent her to a ministry where she was able to benefit from the teaching of a gifted expository Bible teacher. Through that teacher, she was introduced to the aspects of praise and worship and serious Bible study. Because of that blessing, she has indeed become richly fulfilled, all by cultivating her personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
